PEDAL EFFECT HACKING RESOURCES

Hey y'all! This is a "compilation point" I'm putting up where I'll try to have any necessary resources for ZOOM multi-FX effect "hacking" (effect model interchange from/to other similar devices) available and as up to date as I can.

WHAT APP SHOULD I USE?

NOW, SIMPLER THAN EVER. Just use Zoom Effect Manager for any of these models:
It also packs effects from models G6/G11/B6 to add to your Four/n models.

So, both the G/MultiStomp/on models and the Four models are supported by a single (brilliant!) tool now (since 2025-MAY-16). Not only you can add/remove effects from/to any model of the same generation, but you can even flash the whole firmware from another model to convert it, given hardware is the same. I've done it and it works like a charm, my MS-60B is now an MS-50G, 6 effect slots and all (also have tested MS-70CDR firmware in it no problem).

We all like support for newer models that come by, don't we? Yeah, me too, so to keep the tool alive and improving PLEASE, DO THE RIGHT THING, BE THANKFUL AND DONATE TO THIS GUY (PAVEL).

Finally, here's my ultra condensed "hybrid" bass/guitar FX selections (.zem files for Zoom Effect Manager) for the devices I own, either with their own firmware or with any other firmware ZEM could let me install on them; it literally can convert a device to another model as long as hardware is the same. My effect selections are oriented at having all you'd need for guitar AND bass in one device. DYN/FILTER/AMP/CAB/DRIVE categories are denser while I've kept the MOD/SFX/REV/DLY categories more minimalistic (simply out of my pure taste and needs).
